Nothing beats the real heat, big flames and authentic crackle of a real fire. Due to its simplicity the solid fuel fire generally the lowest priced option for installing a new fire in your home, however they are less efficient as there is little control over the burn rate.

The choice of many modern homes, many gas living flame fires are now so realistic it's difficult to tell them apart from the real thing. The big plus points are the convenience and controllability, with different heat settings that can be turned up or down as required.

At present we are unable to supply matels and hearths due to their delicate nature during transit. The most popular hearth is a black tiled hearth (£100 - £150), suitable for all fuels. Slate or marble are fine for gas or electric, but would need to be slabbed to allow for expansion under the more intense heat of a real fire.
