Introduced to fill a niche in the market, the inglenook is a very large stove with only a 4-5kW heat output, specifically designed to suit a large fireplace in a small room. Available with crossed doors, plain doors or one large single door. The efficient Hunter multi-fuel stoves all burn wood, coal and peat on a dust free de-ashing system, all have a hot airwash system keeping the glass clean and offer safe overnight burning. All Hunter stoves are manufactured from high quality 5mm thick steel to the exacting standards of BS3378 with quality cast iron components, representing excellent value for money. The ‘airwash’ is achieved by very hot air being directed down behind the large glass doors creating a screen between the fire and the glass. Smoke or combustion particles do not come into contact with the glass, leaving it clean to see through. A cleverly designed integral grate with external ‘riddling’ adjustment tool means the Inglenook can be changed from wood setting to multi-fuel by a single turn of the handle. When burning coal and for easy lighting of the stove, air can be directed under the open grate and into the heart of the fire. This provides the optimum conditions for this type of fuel. The Inglenook has a number of options and optional extras:- * A single brass door knob or a set of brass knobs * A flue damper - To help reduce excessive chimney draw and aid overnight burning. * A multi-fuel front extension kit - This acts as a taller fuel retainer enabling a deeper bed of fuel in you stove. * A sparkguard * Either decorative crossed doors or plain doors * Choice of high or low canopy. PLEASE NOTE: 1) The flue collar provided by Hunter is now a plain collar rather than the decorative collar as shown in many of the product images. 2) Crosses shown in two door models are now an optional extra. NB: Flue pipe is not provided by the manufacturer with most stoves. Exceptions to this are flueless gas stoves and electric stoves which do not require flue pipe. The inclusion of flue pipe with balanced flue gas stoves varies and should be confirmed dependant on the model ordered.
